Ricardo Lerma, Jr. PA-C, is a graduate of Mercedes High School and is a first generation college student.
In 2005, Mr. Lerma graduated from the University of Texas–Pan American where he obtained a biology degree, and was later accepted into the clinical laboratories science program. After receiving his clinical laboratories science degree in 2006 and while working as a medical technologist at Valley Baptist Medical Center, he was accepted into the physician assistance program at the University of Texas–Pan American. He received his physician assistant degree in 2008 and a masters degree in physician assistant studies in 2009.
Mr. Lerma has been practicing family medicine since August 2008 and has been employed with RGV Adult & Geriatric Medicine since September 2016. Mr. Lerma continues to serve his home town community, Mercedes, Texas.
